Change, no matter positive or negative, will always bring with it both sadness and excitement. Here at Crosslink Memphis we are experiencing these emotions.
First, we want to share with you the retirement on August 5th of Jan Lewis as the Development Director for Crosslink Memphis, the position she has held since July of 2007. For many, Jan has been the face and voice of the ministry, bringing a passion for sharing God’s Word through medical mission, combined with a love for people which is infectious. We are thrilled
for her as she plans to enjoy more time with David and the kids and to volunteer as able with the Crosslink Ministry. Thank you, Jan, for so many years of faithful commitment and witness. With this change, we are excited to welcome Kathy Byrd to the Crosslink family as a Development Associate beginning in July. Kathy comes to Crosslink with a desire to serve Christ through missions where the Gospel of Jesus’ redemptive love is boldly proclaimed. She wants others to know and experience the joy of His love, grace, and mercy.
Kathy graduated from the University of Memphis with a B.S. in Education and afterward taught kindergarten for 5 years. After taking some time to raise her growing family, Kathy then held administrative positions in both church and commercial businesses, most recently working in real estate appraisal.
She has been married to Russell for 19 years, and together they have six beautiful children, three wonderful in-love kids, and six precious grandchildren. Kathy and Russell serve alongside each other in the marriage ministry of their church, as well as volunteering in the guest services. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, camping, hiking, reading, and sports. We welcome Kathy to the team! After July 1st, Kathy’s email will be [email protected].
