This medical mission supplies request is a great midline example of what teams are looking to acquire. There are some smaller requests and larger; however, we want to customize each request to the team.

Overall this request cost the team just over $1200 which included the cost of medicine, processing fee, and shipping the items to their location in the United States. When we look at the retail value of the medicine, supplies, and eyeglasses the total would have been over $300,000! Not every team saves this type of money from retail value but Crosslink would like to help your medical mission team be wise stewards of their resources.

CASE STUDY #2

Our second case study is from a team serving in the Caribbean. This medical mission team developed an outstanding relationship with the missionaries, physicians, and clinics in the country due to serving for many years together. With the longstanding partnership the medical mission team had a large budget to purchase medicine and the ability to leave medicine with their trusted partner for continued care.

The medicine for the medical mission trip included 105 variations in medicine. Some were different doses, routes, or quantity per bottle. The medicine included antibiotics, antifungals, vitamins, pregnancy tests, cardiovascular medicine, topical creams, analgesics, anti-nausea, and more.

Medical mission supplies were needed as well. Due to the team being experienced in medical mission their supply request covered a wide array of circumstances. The team requested syringes, needles, PPE,advanced wound care, basic wound care, iv supplies, and even an ambu-bag.

Overall, this team came to us with a budget of $10,000, which is on the high end for most medical mission teams. Since this team was local to Memphis, we did not have to ship the items which allowed us to maximize their spending. This medical mission team spent $9,700, which included the processing fee and cost of medicine, yet received a retail price of over a $102,000! As you plan your medical mission trip, please let us maximize your budget.
